Refund & Cancellation Policy
This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies unless different terms are stated in a signed proposal, service agreement, invoice, or checkout page.
Custom Services
Salt & Pixel provides customized website design, development, setup, consulting, hosting, maintenance, SEO, and related digital services.
Because time and resources are reserved specifically for each client:
- Deposits and setup payments become non-refundable once work begins.
- Completed work and services already performed are non-refundable.
- Payments for approved project milestones are non-refundable.
- Charges paid to third-party providers are non-refundable.
- Custom digital products are not returnable.
Project Cancellation
A client may request cancellation in writing.
When a project is cancelled:
- The client remains responsible for work completed through the cancellation date.
- Outstanding invoices become immediately due.
- Deposits already applied to scheduling, planning, design, development, or administration are not refunded.
- Work files, licenses, website access, or deliverables may be withheld until all outstanding balances are paid.
- Any refund approved in writing will be reduced by completed work, expenses, and non-refundable third-party costs.
Monthly Services
Monthly services may include hosting, maintenance, support, SEO, menu features, reservation features, software access, or other recurring services.
Unless a written agreement states otherwise:
- Cancellation must be requested before the next billing date.
- Payments already processed are not prorated or refunded.
- Service continues through the end of the paid billing period.
- Features that depend on an active monthly service may be disabled or removed after cancellation.
- The client is responsible for exporting or requesting applicable content before the service ends.
- Domain names, software licenses, and third-party subscriptions may require separate cancellation.
Missed Payments
Salt & Pixel may suspend hosting, maintenance, software access, support, or other services when an invoice becomes overdue.
Suspension does not remove the client’s responsibility to pay outstanding charges.
Reactivation fees may apply when services must be restored after suspension.
Scheduling and Consultations
Consultations or scheduled sessions may be rescheduled when reasonable notice is provided.
Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may result in the loss of a booking fee or require advance payment before rescheduling.
Exceptional Circumstances
Salt & Pixel may review refund requests involving duplicate charges, billing errors, or services that were paid for but never started.
Any approved exception must be confirmed in writing.
